WHAT IS PERSONAL DATA?

Personal data is any information that related to your person, and can be used to lead to your identification - for example your name, your postal address, your e-mail address or telephone number.

As personal data, all information that is used to determine your person and which can be traced back to you, for example your name, your mailing address, your e-mail address or telephone number, applies.

ARE PERSONAL DATA COLLECTED WHEN YOU VISIT OUR WEBSITE?

No. In general, our Web pages can be used without the provision of personal data. We ourselves do not create access statistics, nor do we use analysis tools.

In order to correctly display the accessed pages and to protect the Web server from misuse (e.g. against hacking), when you visit our Web pages, anonymized access data are transmitted by your browser. This data includes, for example, name of the Web page your view, date and time of the server request, amount of transferred data, messages about successful retrieval, browser type and version, used operating system, IP address and requesting provider, hostname of your computer, the previously visited page (referrer URL).

These access data are stored temporarily in so-called log files on the Web server, but not assigned to specific persons and also not merged with data from other data sources. The website operator (see imprint) reserves the right to check the server log files retrospectively, if specific indications point to illegal use.

ARE COOKIES USED?

Yes. Our Web pages use so-called cookies for technical reasons. These are small data records that are stored on your device. Your browser accesses these files to make the use of the website easier and more effective.

Most of the cookies used are so-called "session cookies". They are automatically deleted after your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. These cookies make it possible to recognize your browser on your next visit.

We ourselves do not use cookies to analyze user behavior on our web pages and do not use any web analysis services.

Note: You can configure popular browsers so that cookies are not accepted. However, disabling cookies may limit the functionality of this website.

WHAT PERSONAL DATA DO WE COLLECT?

Personal data will only be saved if that information is provided voluntarily, e.g. if you contact us. The personal data collected in this case include the data you provide to us, such as your full name, your postal address, your e-mail address, your telephone or fax number or other information about yourself (e.g. professional position). In addition, personal data will only be collected and stored if your explicit consent has been received.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. For this reason, we take no special precautions to protect the privacy of children who may disclose their personal information to us.

WHAT DO WE DO WITH YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

The contact details you provide will be stored and used by us for processing inquiries and in case of follow-up questions. This includes in particular the provision of desired services or goods. In doing so, our employees are obliged to secrecy.

In an existing business relationship, we use your contact information to keep you up to date by, for example, notifying you of relevant updates or known security vulnerabilities of various manufacturers (e.g. Microsoft, Apple, Adobe). If you have purchased one of our software products, you will be informed about new versions and features.

DO WE PASS ON YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

We treat the personal data provided by you confidentially and use it only for the purpose for which you have given us this data. Personal data are passed on to our suppliers or service providers (processors) if this is necessary for the fulfillment of the contract or if there is a legitimate interest. Without your explicit consent, we will not disclose your information to so-called third parties, unless we are obliged to surrender, for example, due to a court order or an official order.

WHEN WILL YOUR PERSONAL DATA BE DELETED?

The deletion of the stored personal data takes place if their knowledge is no longer necessary for the fulfillment of the purpose pursued with the storage, if you revoke your consent for the storage, or if their storage for other legal reasons is inadmissible.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU APPLY FOR A JOB?

If you send us an application via the e-mail address jobs@askus.biz on our site, you can be sure that the personal data it contains will only be accessible to those responsible for the application process. Your personal data will only be used to handle and execute the application process.

If your application is followed by a contract of employment, your personal data will be stored for the purpose of the employment relationship and in compliance with legal regulations.

If no employment contract is concluded, your application documents will be deleted immediately, but no later than two months after your application has been rejected - provided that the deletion does not conflict with any other legitimate interests, such as a burden of proof in proceedings that is required by the German General Equal Treatment Act ("Allgemeines Gleichbehandlungsgesetz", AGG).
