Windows Insider Program for Corporate Customers
Microsoft has announced a new Windows Insider Program, addressed in particular to corporate customers and IT professionals. On the Australian Ignite conference, the software company explained that this program, called Windows-Insider-for-Business, should support the companies’ IT departments to simplify the evaluation of new features and functions of Windows 10 in enterprise environments. Many companies already find themselves in the trial and testing phase of the latest operating system, and it is to be expected that due to the discontinued extended support of Windows 7 even more companies and organizations will have to plan a Transition.
Similar to the Windows Insider Program for consumers that was started in 2014, IT professionals obtain access to the latest Windows previews. Those builds can then be tested in the infrastructures, and possible errors can be found and reported before the rollout. Unlike in the consumers’ version, IT professionals will have the opportunity to prioritize an issue and to suggest possible improvements as well. The program is complemented by blogs, forums, surveys, and events - thus, additionally helping to simplify the integration of new versions.
This new Windows Insider Program is currently available by invitation only; interested IT professionals can register themselves. It has not been published yet, when the program will be available for the general public, but is to be expected for the next months.
