Windows 10 1809 Released for Enterprises
Microsoft has now officially released Windows 10 1809 for "widespread use". A good six months after the first release, Release 1809 is now the recommended Windows version and thus also suitable for enterprise customers. The time up to this point is marked by many errors, which have led to several delays in distribution. Even today, the release is still blocked by Intel when using certain graphics card drivers.
That Windows 10 Version 1809 achieves a similar high distribution rate as the predecessor release, is not to be expected. Should Microsoft release the 19H1 update next month as planned, many Windows 10 users will probably switch from version 1803 to version 1903 and skip release 1809.
With the upcoming update, the software company will give up the assignment to the Semi-Annual Channel, in the future Microsoft will only inform as soon as a new Windows 10 release is considered suitable for "wide use".
