New Admin Center for Exchange Online introduced
During the Ignite 2019 two important innovations in Exchange Online were presented. These are changes to the Exchange Admin Center and Exchange Online PowerShell.
The Exchange Admin Center (EAC) will be released with a completely new look & feel based on the other new Microsoft 365 admin portals. According to a blog article, not only will mailbox management in the new EAC be much simpler and more intuitive, but it will also provide improved wizards for migrating to Exchange Online. As already known from the other new admin portals, the new Admin Center also offers personalized dashboards and reports.
The full range of functions has not yet been achieved, but it can already be tested. The corresponding URL is https://admin.exchange.microsoft.com
New Exchange Online Management Cmdlets - V2 Cmdlet - have been developed for managing Exchange Online. The V2 cmdlets are not only designed to be more reliable and faster than the old cmdlets, they also offer some important changes. For example, they do not require an affinity to a connected server or that a V2 cmdlet no longer returns all properties as default, but only in combination with input parameters.
The Exchange Online Management V2 cmdlets are already available and can be installed using the new EXO PowerShell module.
