Microsoft Teams Receives Comprehensive Guest Access

It was announced last year, but only now will Microsoft Teams provide full guest access. While it was previously only possible for external employees with a corporate account in the Azure Active Directory to be invited to a team, the guest account for private accounts is now also unlocked. A team invitation can now be sent to any address, the participant needs only a Microsoft account, for which he can easily register with his address. Microsoft has begun to unlock guest access in Office 365 and should be completed by the end of this month for all clients.

Microsoft Teams is the latest addition to the Office 365 collaboration tools. Major component of Teams is a consistent, chat-based communication method that enables topic-based sharing and even 1:1 conversation through channels. Microsoft Teams supports audio and video conferencing. Microsoft Teams is available to all customers with an Office 365 Business Essentials and Business Premium and Enterprise E1, E3 and E5 plan free of charge.
