IE 11 Mode for the New Edge Browser
At this year's developers conference Build 2019 Microsoft announced a number of new features for the emerging Edge Browser. These include new features for privacy, capabilities for structured gathering of information, as well as improved possibilities for simplified web development.
The announced Internet Explorer mode should be particularly interesting for companies. The new Chromium-based Edge Browser will use this mode to play IE web applications and IE optimized web pages without a separate browser installed or settings. Like the Enterprise Mode for IE, the new Edge Browser will also identify these web pages based on the location list. Companies that use web applications that require Internet Explorer must currently make both, the modern Edge Browser and Internet Explorer, available on their systems.
The new functions and features will be successively released in the preview version of the new Edge Browser.
