Hyper-V Server 2019 released
With a delay of about nine months Microsoft announced the release of Hyper-V Server 2019. The release was already scheduled for publishing as part of the Windows 10 October update in the fall of 2018. However, it was flawed and was withdrawn again. In the subsequent period, it was not re-published, with a statement by Microsoft was missing.
Hyper-V Server 2019, like its predecessor, is free and provides the Hypervisor of Windows Server 2019 as a standalone product. In addition to the Windows Hypervisor, the functional scope also includes a Windows Server Driver Model and other virtualization components. The current release is now available to customers at the Evaluations Center; subscribers to Visual Studio will be able to obtain the latest version on June 19 at the latest.
