Azure Arc: Multi-Cloud Management out of Azure

At this year's Ignite, Microsoft announced a new service, Azure Arc, to help manage cloud infrastructure from Azure.These include not just on-premises infrastructures in local data centers, but also virtual workloads on Amazon AWS or the Google Cloud. Using typical management tools such as Azure Resource Manager, Azure Shell, Azure Portal, or Azure Policy, Azure Arc provides hybrid server management across Azure's boundaries. For Microsoft, cross-administration offers tremendous benefits. For example, Azure security and governance policies can help ensure consistent compliance in multi-cloud environments.

Azure Arc is not a single service, but currently combines three hybrid management solutions: Azure Arc for Servers, Azure Arc for Kubernetes, and Azure Data Services on Azure Arc. The software company is currently offering Azure Arc as a public preview in Azure.
